“Paperless Offline e-KYC” feature now available in mAadhaar app
Aadhaar Card is one of the most important documents for Indian citizens today. Without it, no public or private work of the citizens is done at present. But, common people have to bear a lot of risk to Link and Update this Aadhaar card. So mAadhaar app is brought to make things easier for the users. UIDIA is committed to making the e-KYC process much easier than before through this app. “Paperless Offline e-KYC” feature will now be available in mAadhaar app.
All activities related to Aadhaar card can be done easily through this app. As such, it allows users to access multiple services including Aadhaar authentication, identification of nearest Aadhaar center, EID/UID data retrieval, Aadhaar download, biometric authentication, mobile and email verification.
What is paperless offline e-KYC feature in mAadhaar app?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a process through which various companies and financial institutions can verify the identity and authenticity of customers. Related companies collect several documents from customers to identify them. And after identifying all the documents, the company allows the customer to start working.
But from now users can generate these documents using mAadhaar app’s new paperless offline e-KYC feature and use it whenever they want for offline verification.
How to avail paperless offline e-KYC through mAadhaar app
- First download or update mAadhaar app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Now login using the registered phone number and OTP received on the phone.
- Then, tap on the Services tab in the bottom bar and search for Paperless Offline e-KYC, which is the last option under “Aadhaar Services”.
- Now click on this option and enter Aadhaar number, share code and security captcha.
- Then, click on “Request OTP” option.
- Now, enter the OTP and tap on “Verify” option.
- Now you will see “Share ekyc” option, click on it and select the app through which you want to share eKYC document.
How to share this e-KYC for offline verification?
The .zip file generated in the mAadhaar app can be shared with the organization or service provider with the “Share Code” and registered mobile number for offline verification purposes. Also, the generated .zip file can also be shared using any app like WhatsApp or email etc.
